Text in the Sand

Every time you walk down the beach, there are always little messages drawn into the sand.  Some are cute such as "I love you" and others are a little bizarre, but it seems like there is always something written in the sand.  Its a way to communicate how people feel about each other, and how they feel about life.

Some messages say how much someone misses a person they care about and they leave beautiful messages along the shore.

While there is not a big similarity between the beach and writing, some of the writing on the beach is really quite beautiful.

Some messages are encouraging.

The best kinds of messages are always those where someone tells you that they love you.

The writing along the beach is usually spontaneous short messages or words that show how people before you were feeling at a particular moment in time.

Huntington Beach State Park

Every year thousands and thousands of tourists make their way down to the beaches of America, but do they really understand the life of the beach? Most people do not know about the dangers of the sea turtle eggs, or the threats that the gulls face of a daily basis. Three summers ago, I worked at the beach I frequent and learned the facts and figures, and how it is possible to save the sea creatures. At Huntington Beach State Park in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, they offer classes that you can take in order to learn about the sea turtles, surf life, inlet life, and much much more. You can learn about ancient sea life, as well as the alligators that live in the lake. Every person has the ability to learn about the beach life, and how human life impacts the lives of those sea creatures that live just off shore.
